First, let me clear up a few things when it comes to Psychotherapy. The Word Psychotherapy comes from the Greek word psyche (ψυχή meaning"breath; spirit; soul") and therapeia (θεραπεία "healing; medical treatment"). Translated simply, it’s healing for the soul. Often times people associate therapy or going to see a therapist as negative or something you only do when there is absolutely no other option. Whilst it is true that I see clients who may be experiencing challenges, change or transitions, I also work with clients who are interested in personal development. By understanding more about ourselves, and who we are we not only start living in alignment with our values and who we are, we make choices that support us to live well.
My role is to provide a supportive space for you to share your stories, challenges and concerns. I work with you to develop awareness and clarity on your situation. Having an objective, non-judegmental guide means that I can help you see your blind posts as well as help you look at different perspectives. We work collaboratively and in partnership. I use my skills and knowledge and empower you to create your own long-term, sustainable change.
My mission today is to teach people the skills and strategies they need to understand themselves, overcome their challenges and lead more satisfying and fulfilling lives.
